Pastor Walter Brumley
Sr Pastor
Walter L. Brumley was born on June 4, 1951 in Pasadena, Texas. Walter L. Brumley grew up in La Porte, Texas and graduated from La Porte High School in 1968. Attended San Jacinto College in Deer Park, Texas for 1 year and attended Lee College in Baytown, Texas for 1 year. He graduated “Outstanding Apprentice” from Ironworkers Local 84 in Houston, Texas. Walter went to work for Shell Oil on November of 1977. He was a Supervisor over Cranes and Rigging in Deer Park, Texas until he retired June 30, 2014 after 36 1/2 years of service. Walter married Kim D. Brumley in Jan 2010. Kim and Walter have 5 children that are grown. Walter sang in a Gospel group for 7 years with the Pathways. The Pathways did Nursing home ministry and ministry in churches during that time. In 1998 he started going into the prisons and preaching the Word. He has ministered in the Darrington unit, Terrell unit, Hightower unit, Plane State Jail, Henley unit, TCJester Units, and Pam Lynchner State Jail here in Texas; and ministered in the Angola Prison in Louisiana. He still ministers once a year at the Polunsky Unit. Walter served on the board of the previous church for 6 years, served for about 10 years as Men’s Ministry leader, served on the Building committee and led the Altar Workers Team. Walter served in the same church from 1988 till 2005. Pastor Brumley is Ordained through Independent Assemblies and has held credentials with Independent Assemblies since 1997. Pastor Brumley is the Southeast District Regional Representative for Independent Assemblies.Walter's hobbies are hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
Curtis Robinson
Associate Pastor
We are excited to have a new Associate Pastor, Bro. Curtis Robinson who is a long time friend to the Pastor.
Bro. Robinson was born December 14th, 1939 in Angleton, TX. He received Christ into his life on May 20, 1956 and received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit shortly after receiving Christ. He graduated from Angleton High School in 1958. He was then married to Myrna on March 10, 1961. They have 4 children. Bro. Curtis's hobby is making ink pens.
Bro. Robinson held credentials with the Assemblies of God and has been a pastor several times. He has been educated through the Berean Bible Study and received a Bachelor of Religious Education from International Seminary in Orlando, Fl.
Bro. Robinson started doing prison ministry in 1998. He became a Chaplain for the Texas Dept of Corrections in 2000, and went through a reduction in force in 2003. In 2006 he became a chaplain again for the Texas Dept of Corrections and is still a chaplain today.
